Hey guys and gals, I recently had a C6 Z06 clutch installed in my highly modified '99 coupe. Everything was great. Clutch fits perfectly. The car never felt so good...Then the worst happened. I hit a huge pot hole in on the freeway and blew my front suspension.
I drove the car off the freeway and it drove fine. Shifted okay and steering was okay. I had the entire front suspension replaced. New gas shocks, mono spring $4800 worth of work.
I picked the car up on Friday and now the clutch is chattering slightly when it's engaged but the real chatter comes when I am in a gear and accelerate or decelerate. It feels like the drive shaft it loose or something. The dealership that did the suspension is not the same one that did the clutch and they are trying to tell me I need a new clutch. I think they forgot to tighten a few bolts. What can I tell them to check because they are pretty F@#$ing incompetent and I if I spend another dollar this month the Mr.s will kill me.
Is it chatter during engagement or is it a vibration in the drive train or wheels? Wondering if the rear suspension took a hit as well or maybe wheel weights are missing. I hit a pot hole once and one of my wheel weights actually slid around the rim about 1/2".
