Default Which Tires?????

Trying to decide which tires to buy for my C5 coupe. I hear the Kumho run flats ride better than the Goodyears. Any insight? Also wondering if they will last as long.

Any feedback appreciated.

thx

I really like my Michelen Pilot Sport run flats. Very quiet.

I have the Firestone Wide Ovals. I had my tires vandilized and these were the only ones I could get locally. That being said I am very happy with them. The prices were great and the performance is very close to the F1s

I made the switch to non-runflat Kumho MX's... they are great

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Z/P is the way to go. Stick like glue and are super quiet. That's my 2 cts.

Well, that depends.......It is very doubtful that you will find a runflat tire that has all the advantages of a non-runflat. Many of us forum members have dumped runflats altogether for quite some time now. Each non-runflat tire saves you 6 lbs of unsprung weight. THAT alone enhances the ride. The other advantage is a lack of rock hard side wall stiffness. You can even go to lower profile tires and STILL have a superior ride. Oh, and did I mention finding a tire shop that removes runflats without a waiver that states they do NOT guarantee that there will be no damage to the wheels when they dismount a runflat? Most tire shop employees cringe when a customer mentions runflats.

....a few things to think about.....
