Default MTI Six Shooter Shifter

Well, after trying just about every shifter there is I think I finally found one that I like. It's the MTI Six Shooter Shifter by MTI Racing, this thing actually shifts short, smooth and positive but not notchy. The 2/3 shift is right on the money. No more missing that critical shift. Someone finally got it right. By the way it came with very clear and well documented install instructions. The over all feel is very similar to the C6 shifter only better. The hight is right on the money and also close to the C6 style shifter. Fit and finish was perfect and unlike the C6 shifter the aftermarket shifter ***** screw right on.

Thanks for the review. How does the height compare to stock?

To answer your question it's a little shorter but not so short that it's akward. It's obvious that someone that actually drives a Vette designed this.

Glad to see other folks are enjoying this shifter. Frankly, it's just that good!

I agree. I'm glad someone tried it out and posted back here with some good results.

Well guys,
I have been waiting for a couple more reviews on this puppy. Anybody else? I have been wanting to call and get one on order (I have a shortened stock shifter at present which I have settled on). MTI is right up the road, close enough for a really long lunch hour... I had both a Hurst and a BPP and did not particularly like either one. Right now, effort is fine although a little notchy;height is perfect. Would I really gain anything here other than a ligheter wallet?

I had the Hurst and I liked it. Switched to Six Shooter and LOVE IT! As short a throw as Hurst but no noise, easy to shift and not notchy. It is worth the money and is actually cheaper than any of the other aftermarket shifters.

It installs just like the Hurst. You can do a search on the forum for Hurst instructions.

Does this shifter have neutral return springs and does it have positive stops that you can set?

I purchased a B&M shifter for my 06 coupe and thinking on getting this one instead.

Thanks

Bill

In short, no. It's as quiet as stock but soooo much better.

No to both your questions but I'm not sure this one needs it. It's right on the money right out of the box.

No it does not.
It uses the factory return spring that is in the transmission.
and it doesnt have stops that you have to set
