Default Electrical problems

Other than the fact that it's made by General Motors, could someone give me an idea of what could be wrong here. Suddenly out of the blue, my wipers will come on for absolutely no reason, and will not shut off unless I take the fuse out. Same thing with my drivers seat, without going anywhere near the controls, my seat will move forward, and even while trying to stop it by using the controls, it continues forward until I am litterally shoved up against the steering wheel. The other night, I had to pull off the road, and could barely move my knee to engage the break pedal. The seat returned to it's original position once I turned the ignition off, but once I turned it back on, the seat moved forward again. Had to remove the relay in order to stop it from occuring again. Now out of the blue, my passenger window will not operate. Any chance these issues are related ? This all happened within a week of one another.

It would help if you gave more information about your vette, like year, model, options, etc.

The wiper problem is probably due to your drains being plugged.

The seat problem and the window problem are seperate issues.

Drop Bill Curlee a PM he is the electrical guru, you'll see is ino at the top of the post in the sticky section.

Yep,,,,your windshield cowl drains are clogged ! The wiper motor/controller sits in a well on the drivers side. The well is full of water and the water is shorting out the control board for the wiper motor. Un-plug the THREE drains. Reach in between the brake booster and the fender. They look like cow udders! There soft rubber and if there hard,,,there clogged up with gunk!

Yep there are three!! The third one is way back there and hard to feel!!

There is also one BIG one on the passengers side behind the battery. Detach it from the cowl and blast water through it. If you yank it out,, its difficult to reinstall it.

Year car,,,,codes,,,,and past repairs would help also!?!?

Here is how to read the codes!

This is the absolute best C5 Code web site!!!

http://www.corvettedoctor.com/Code_Main.html
http://www.corvettedoctor.com/index.html

Go to “technical data base” and then to “Corvette ECM Computer Codes”. Then select your year car. Read the instructions and then scroll down to the "READ MORE" window to view the code definitions.
