and it finally unlocked my steering wheel, but i still get the error message and cant go over 2 mph. the instructions said to remove fuses 25 & 29 or disconnect the battery for 15 minutes then replace. well i disconnected the battery over night and it didnt help. 25 & 29 fuses under the hood are labled "spare" and one is missing. any other suggestions? the 2 fuses they talk about, are they under the hood in the main box or somewhere else?
When I put in my CLB from Thunder racing instructions had me pull (WITH THE IGNITION KEY IN THE ON POSITION) Fuse #25 in the passenger footwell fuse box for ten minutes to reset the BCM. CLB went in and I am now driving and error free. Keep searching the forum for answers if that doesn't work. Best of luck.
sure is! so now i am having the "policy" performed by chevrolet to fix the fix chevy already did. in esscence the remove the lock mechinism totally.
Isn't it amazing that GM is still farting around with this dilema on vettes?Good thing they didn't incorporate this wonderful system on their volume cars like the Cobalts.................

Even if they completely remove the locking system, they still don't seem to cooperate un re-flash the BCM back to normal to prevent us from the possibility of being stranded if I "glitch" signal is sent. That's the trick...getting our cars "driveable" in the event the dreaded error code is triggered for any reason.
