About the only visual differance is that the LS6 intake doesn't have a hole for the egr.

Default Is it worth the trouble?

Assuming the rest of the engine is bone stock, has anybody seen any improvement on dyno by installing Z06 intake?

I'm sure you can see an improvement with better flowing heads. Will there be a difference with stock LS1 heads?

Its more of a cumulative thing when you add a group of mods. By itself, there really isn't a noticebale gain.

I had the same thoughts when I got my ls6 intake. From the top they look the same, but the bottom is different.

I'm glad I did mine, there was a difference but not a big difference. I have never dyno'ed my Vette, so can not ut a number on it, however probabily not more than the margin of error on a dyno. I have an auto trans and it shifted better afterward, maybe the vacuum was better or something that could have been fixed just by servicing the existing ls1 intake. But, still I'm glad I did it, but that could also be because I did it myself and learned more about my Vette.

There has to be a reason they put it on all ls1s starting in 2001.

it's cheaper to make 30,000 LS6 intakes instead of 20,000 LS1 intakes and 10,000 LS6 intakes (or whatever the real #s are, the point is the same)

Yes, flat bottom, that's the easiest way other than the PN

EGR?? C5 never had it, F-bodies dropped it in 2001

I felt a difference in mine, from around 3000 RPM up.
