I recently popped a check eng light while driving to work. I drove around with it on for a couple of days, while i was waiting for my AeroForce Tech gauge to come in. BTW, this gauge is great. Hooked it up and it shot out two codes: P0102 and P0440. Does anyone have any info about this and what is the fix?
P0102: Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input
P0440: Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction
Go to “technical data base” and then to “Corvette ECM Computer Codes”. Then select your year car. Read the instructions and then scroll down to the "READ MORE" window to view the code definitions.\
Try cleaning your MAF sensing wires. You can use a good MAF spray or, I just use BRAKE PARTS CLEANER!
Just spray it on, let it evaporate and that should take care of it! MAKE SURE that the ducts betweem the MAF and the TB are sealed 100%.
The other code is most likely a dirty AIR system check valve. The on e for the drivers side is a snap to change. The other one is behind the head and will most likely require you to remove the intake to replace it. I used a spray and some compressed air to clean mine inplace and it was 100% effective!
