Default Replacement Tires for my 2000

I have a 2000 Vette with the orginal Goodyear Eagle F1s. I am looking to replace these tires. Any suggestions on what I should go with for replacement tires? This is a weekend driver only so I am not looking for any dual use street/race tire.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Z/P is the only way to go ! Super Quiet, Sticks like glue, and lasts a long time. Go first class !

I have had many sets of Firestone runflats on my 2000 coupe and I am pleased. I seem to get between 30K and 35K miles before replacing.

Much better tire (for less money) than the Goodyears.

I have had three sets of tires so far. The first set were the stock run flats. The second set were the firestones. The third set is the Michelin ZP. I liked the Michelins least. Which was a surprise to me because Michelin has been my tire of choice for as long as I can remember...but, I don't like the look of these tires...they are an all weather tire and they look like it. also, I have been getting chunks of tire coming off of the rear tires (inboard side)....and I don't drive all that hard (most of the time). The firestones were a good tire...and I don't care what anyone else says I think the Goodyear run flats are a good tire as well. If you don't feel like you need a run flat I would go with the Goodyear GS-D3. They look really nice and everyone says great things about them. But I would avoid the Michelins.

My personal preference is the GoodYear GS-D3
In a runflat The Firestone Firehawk

Some club members are very happy with the Kumho MX and the Cooper (Zeon?) for use on a Daily Driver

I believe Costco has the best package price and locally they currently advertise an additional $60 off on four Michelin tires, until about the 10th or so of Sept.

Anyhow, I just did this upgrade a few weeks ago. All I can say is WOW!!! I have done headers, cam, heads, etc. but these tires as an upgrade blew me away and I could feel it just going out my street at 10 mph. They ride softer, are very quiet, hold the road like glue and after driving home in that monsoon from Carlisle last weekend, are great in rain. You can go wrong with the GSD3's.
