Default Need help changing the fuel pump

I just got the racetronix pump, the wireing harness (plug n play) and I need help installing it. My car is up on jack stands, no rear suspension, no rear-end, and no torque tube. Does anyone have any pice as to how to change the fuel pump. Thanks

I would really suggest getting a manual for your car if you are going to dive into this level of maintenance.

This should basically explain what you are doing. The only tricky part is those screws holding the fuel pump assembly in. Once removed I recommend using regular bolts. Oh and the quick disconnects, just squeeze the plastic tabs towards each other and pull the lines off. Once you get the assembly out enough, be sure to disconnect the float. You will understand how to once you see it.

Obviously, not everyone using this forum has your "God like" mechancial ability. It's typically been my experience, "if you have to ask, you don't have a manual".

I got it done. And it only took about 15 mins. I was asking before because I didn't want to get down and dirty with it and spend all day just to find out later that there was an easier way to do it. But like I said I got it done. No big deal. thanks for all of your help though.

Glad to hear you finished it up! Once you figure out whats going on its a very simple task. The second time is even easier
