Default Budget Head Question

A little overview:
I'm using my stock LS1 heads with stock valves. I am getting the heads ported and polished with a 5 angle valve job. I'm running Comp Cams 918 valve springs and the cam specs are:
Basic Operating RPM Range: 2,000-7,000 RPM
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 230
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224 int./230 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 273
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 279
Advertised Duration: 274 int./279 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.581 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.588 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.581 int./0.588 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 114

The question is...I want to use my stock valves and not upgrade to the stainless steel solid valves...Will the stock valves be able to handle the spring pressure of the 918's...Has anyone ever dropped a valve into the motor???

you won't have any problems with 918's on stock valves.... now turning the motor all the way up to 7k w/ 918's might not work so well....

I would have just bought a set of ls5 heads before doing all that to a set of ls1 heads.
