Going to be tackling the pulley this weekend. Question I have is with the E-Brake on, the M6 in a high gear, will there be enough driveline tension to break loose/torque down the pulley bolt?? Rear tires are in the air right now and the e-brake is suspect, so I presume that putting the rear back down would probably put enough tension there to be adequate. Yes, no?

When you say "pulley" I'm assuming you're referring to the crankshaft balancer pulley? If so, you might be better off having the additional friction of the tires on the ground as well. The best way to go is to use a flywheel ring gear stop, but if you don't have one, your method should work too.
Anyone else?
with car in gear, e brake on, if you had a helper they could also stand on the brake, you will have enough vacuum in the reservoir for about 3 applications of brakes, so all you need is just one, and that would suffice.
If you do it with the wheels on the ground and the front on jackstands, be careful. If the wheels turn, the vette could lurch forward / backward and cause some damage to you or something else. Lets just say that if I were to do it again, I would probably take the extra effort to use a flywheel locking tool.

Did you turn the wheels with the front in the air I presume??
Do a search on LS1tech.com/Tools & Fabrication for "Crank Pulley holder".
Several people have made there own, I bought one from code4 last Dec. Haven't used it yet.
