New issue, the A/C compressor is cyclying on and off. Put on a set of gauges and it appears the compressor cycles off when the LOW side pressure reaches 450.. Yes I know this is high ! What would be the likely cause of such a high reading on the low side ???
the low side on my gauges doesnt go up that high . if youre high side was even near that the compressor would seize. dont try to charge it the can will explode

Have you checked the cooling fan to see if it is activating? This fan MUST work as soon as the AC is turned on, or the pressure switch will shut the AC down to protect it from blowing out a line, or worse. How about the codensor? Have you recently traveled thru an area where some idiot has cut his grass and was discharging the clippings on the public road, making sure all the cars drove thru it and blew it away for him? Our cars are "bottom feeders" when it comes to cooling air intake, thereby sucking up all debris off the roadway, like a vacuum cleaner. It has happened to me. Also, it could be that down in Texas, it could have been so hot that in stop and go traffic, there wasn't enough airflow to cool the system, and the pressure built up even with the fan operational. This also heppened to me in Vegas recently, as the downtown temps outside reached 120 degrees at around 3:00 in the afternoon. Once I got moving, it kicked back on and stayed on. You could be low on 134, too. Good Luck.
