Default TCC settings

I posted a question a couple of weeks back about an issue with my wife's C5, having the feeling that the torque converter is briefly "unlocking" at steady speeds on occasion. The only time I experienced it, we were cresting a small hill, and she had teh cruise control on (which she says is usually when it does it)One of the members of another forum told me I needed to have the TCC table settings adjusted to cure this issue. I'm about to send my wife's PCM back to the tuner, and would like to know what specificily to tell him to do
Is there a particular # I need him to place the TCC settings at, or is it somthing he will need to "guess" at.
I'm just trying to be able to communicate with him when I call, since he has already told me it couldn't be fixed.
Thanks

I Tried Having Mike Norris In Florida Change My Converter Lock Up Function. It Ended Up Being A Bad Converter.
But, Yes Tuners Can Adjust Lockup. You Should Be Able To Just Tell Them What It Is Doing And They Can Adjust It Assuming That The Converter Is Not Bad.

The TC is brand new. I just installed a rear end and the TC and had sent the PCM for reprogramming. When we receiverd the PCM back and installed it, I called the tuner to tell him what it was doing, and he said that high stall TCs just do that, and the only thing that could be done was to install a shift kit. (I have a 3500 in mine and it has never done it)
Since it is a mail order tune, I am trying to find out what "settings" to as him to put it on.
Thanks

To see what needs to be done or what the problem is, the PCM parameters need to be scanned to verify that the converter is being commanded to lock or not. If it is being commanded to unlock then lock back up, the data should tell you why. If the PCM command is always on and it still feels like it locks and unlocks, then there is an issue with the converter, TCC solenoid, trans....

One cause could be if the slip allowed is not adjusted for a higher stall converter. Another is if you have a cam and the misfires parameters are not set. Bothe can cause a converter to unlock at an improper time. As you mentioned also it could just be TCC settings. Just a lot of guessing with no data.

Hope this helps.
