Radio Shack has a 9v cig adapter that you plug in the cig lighter and it retains the memory.

From what I've seen and heard from various vendors (that sell that little item) is that they either do not work on the C5s or are otherwise not recommended.
Maybe someone else can chime in.
I'll chime in...I've had one of those little ditties for several years and they've always worked for me...unless you're trying to save the memory overnight. The 9V battery will not last that long. I recently suggested to someone to check RADIO SHACK and he PMed me saying RADIO SHACK told him they don't carry them (that's where I got mine)...you might try PEPBOYS, AUTOZONE, CHECKER or your favorite dittie source. It should cost you less than $10.00 not including the 9v battery. You can probably find one at WALMART or TARGET. Do an internet search under "cigarette lighter memory saver" and you'll find reference to them. They look like this...
FYI: Someone is also making a 110v dittie that also plugs into the cigarette lighter which would last longer.

Why not use a couple aligator clips and two pieces of wire, or a portable starter box, just clamp it to the outside of the cables, just be a little carful, removing and replacing cables...B

take hotwheels57 advice and do a search at the mentioned stores. MidAmerica has them for '99 up I believe. Also at the looks of the one pictured you can make your own
Taken mine off a dozen or so times. If you are quick lose NOTHING.
otherwise might have to reset the radio. Not a biggie unless you don't like to push and hold the buttons. My key fob resynched just by holding the open and lock buttons down simultaneously for about 8 or 10 seconds. Never lost tire pressure monitors with a battery off.
