is this possible/realistic?
you guys are allowed to say no, this is just for my own curiosity.
Say you want 500-550RWHP. Naturally Aspirated. On an A4 C5 - that is a Daily Driver.
Basically, this means it needs to stay very very streetable.
Can it be done on a stock-cube engine?
(trying to decide if I'm gonna go with a Lingenfelter 403ci LS2 and build that up, or keep what I've got now)

I don't think a 500-550 rwhp goal (especially with an auto) on a daily driver is the least bit realistic.

500-550hp realistic, yeah. NA, no.

are you just saying that with the stock cubes, or would you keep that opinion with the forged 403?

If you don't care what those who have gone before you have to say then why ask?
BTW, had you asked if your goal was obtainable with a power adder I would have said yes.

YOU didnt say it wasnt realistic N/A - you said it wasnt realistic on an auto DD. Now, the overwhelming response has been: not on stock cubes.
Ok, so how about on that 403ci LS2? Still N/A.

quite possible, still as a DD with an A4? hmmmmmmm
Why do you want THOSE numbers ?? Numbers are for bench and bar racing, not on the road.
You can be supprised what a great dyno tune will do for power under the curver, vs high end HP numbers.
Good Luck on your project.

you can beat him with stock cubes and right set up. 403 would be better so go for that!

lol yeah, I know - 400-450 and a good torque converter would prolly do it for me
but he can still up the boost a little ways - so if I wanna get ahead and stay ahead, gotta shoot for big
