Ok here's my question. I'm getting a set of Borla Stinger Quads from another forum member. I've noticed on his car, as well as others, the tips are cocked. If you were to hold a straight board across the bottom of all 4 tips, the inboard tips are higher than the outboard ones. Is there a way to adjust this during install so they all are straight across? Or am I supposed to accept this. I hate it not being straight. Should I look at other companies. All help welcomed. Thanks much.
its tuff gettign them aligned. as soon as there is torque applies from the motor, the tips tend to realign. it takes some time to get them aligned, but i think thats true with any after market exhaust. or any exhaust that has been unbolted and rebolted.
I've installed Corsa and now Borla systems on my car and aligning them is no big deal. Snug up the bolts a bit and tweak them until they're straight.
I agree! I have installed several sets of various exhausts including the 4 tip stingers and you just have to be persistant and work till they are straight. Use both adjustment points not just one on each side. After you finally get it right a spot weld will hold it while clamps alone may or may not.
Thanks to all. I'm losing hope that these tips will line up, sure looks like a situation Borla should have recognized, and corrected. I'm surprised more guys don't complain about it. If I can't get them dead level straight across, they'll never see the street. Thanks again for all the input.

even if you do get them dead straight accross, they'll move on you the first chance they get.
the only way to prevent them from moving is to weld them, the clamps dont do it.

I had mine perfect until I got my headers and x-pipe installed. Now they look like everyone else's here. I've tried and tried. My problem I think is my x-pipe needs to be pushed forward about a 1/2" on both sides. It's hard to explain, but after laying underneath the rearend for about 2 hours, I finally figured out the problem. It's not that bad and I can live with it.
when I installed mine, I clamped the tips to a straight edge to get them lined up and then tightened the clamps. If the tips are off on the same side, put a spacer under the low one and put a clamp on the high and crank down until they are even.
