Default Texaco with Techron

Noticed for the first time that the local Texaco station states that it contains Techron. Is this the same (Chevron) Techron that we put in our fuel tank to keep the system clean? I've been using Shell V-Power, but would be willing to switch if the Texaco is better. Anyone like to share their opinion on this?

Yep, Chevron and Texaco merged back in 2001. I don't know if Shell is better than Chevron or Texaco but they are all top tier gasoline. Check out the top tier gasoline companies here

Same compound and it works. If you think you have dirty injectors, run the Texaco for 3 or 4 tanks and you'll see a difference if they were dirty. You can also buy Techron at Costco for $9.99 for 4 bottles to treat 16 gallons per bottle. That works out to a little over 15 cents a gallon. If you can buy another gasoline for more than 15 cents less than the Texaco, this is the way to go. Otherwise, run the Texaco or Chevron depending on which is available.

Plus, you won't have the fluctuating gas guage readings.
