[QUOTE=Phil97SVT]Made 1 - 1/2 pass this past friday night, left pretty hard,(1.45 60') yanked 2nd and sheared off the output shaft in the tranny. When I pulled everything out we also found that the shifter mounts on the torque tube are also broken.
Broken trans mount

Yeah, you can do it with a 3.62" stroke and the right valvetrain.

Its at my local trans guy and all the parts will be there tomorrow, we hope to get the trans back thursday and installed thursday night. We're going to try and set a new N/A and 346" power adder record before this year is out. We're aiming for the LPE TT car that went low 9s in a 6 speed.

Thanks, I believe LPE went 9.4 @ 15x. My goals are always lofty but we're shooting for 8.85 @ 157.

You should just save yourself the hassel and do your drivetrain now. You know you will have it twisted out in a matter of hours when the 402 goes in

My next guess........front/rear Torque Tube splined shaft will go just like this output shaft in the 9.40s range after a few passes when it hooks

Any pics of the broken shifter mounts?
I have a funny 'clanking' noise at my shifter I'm going to investigate this weekend. It sounds like it's coming from right at my shifter. It's not drivetrain slop, but something else.
