LS7 clutch is perfect for you. I run one with 460rwhp on the street. I do not track the car but do drive the pi$$ out of it whenever I can. The best thing about it is it feels like stock.
We're building a 402 now and I think this motor will be too much for the clutch. We'll be replacing it with the RAM Dual Disk.
need a new clutch for an 02....putting down just under 400rwhp. Daily driver....
gimme pros and cons of your choice...
Thanks
Check out the Cartek clutch.. After ALL my research.. Cartek is the only clutch that has all positive reviews.. No Chatter, feels like stock, stands up to slipping without glazing, holds gobs of HP...
Except for the dude with +800hp pissing and moaning that it blew up...
Also very inexpensive compared to some others..
I just got mine delivered last week.. I hope to take it next weekend to have it installed...

Inexpensive? Compared to a $2000 dual disk setup maybe....I don't think I've seen cartek less than $800....which is $200-400 more than Spec's, LS7, etc.
I have been looking also. My power level is about the same as yours as well. I think that the Textralia is top on my list at the moment because of all the good reviews I have seen here. Not sure which flywheel yet though, either the billet steel or aluminum.
I have the clutch master. They have 4 or 5 options including street/racing. You might want to look at their options. It is heavy duty of course and so the pedal is stiffer which I really like. I hated the standard C5 clutch.
LUK is the OEM supplier for the clutches on the C5/C6. This is just an upgraded version of the stock clutch. Probably very similiar to the LS7 OEM Clutch.

Their Clutch is About $500 for the Clutch and Pressure plate... the rest goes for the slave and adjustable master... if you don't need that.. then it's still cheap...
My installer wanted me to go with the LS7 stating it was designed for the slipping, etc. which occurs in a DD and should be able to handle up to 600 rwhp. The other clutch I was looking at is the textrilla with hollow steel flywheel (not interested in the street manors of an aluminum flywheel).

Read on... The LS7 cannot be slipped without glazing bad over 3500 rpms.. Ranger has documented this...
Robert, go with the ECS group purchase and be done with it. You're going to find negatives and downsides to almost every clutch. I've had great luck with my Spec 2. WellAdjusteds Spec3 didn't even fit right. I've seen Luk clutches fail within a few thousands miles. And so on and so forth, it's pretty much a crap shoot when it comes to clutches.
The textralia is taking the abuse in many of the ECS and A&A cars. Mike Norris just installed I believe the Ram in Stu's car.
