I have a 2001 Z06. From a stop, when I let up the clutch slowly in first gear, there is a creaking coming from the rear...sounds like passengers side...any ideas?

Could be one or both of the Sway bar bushings or the plastic link connectors on the anti sway bar.

I think all Z06s come with metal end links, and end links typically "clunk" going over some kind of elevation transition, not due to acceleration.
Creaking is an interesting and unusual description for an acceleration noise. I'd get the rear of the car up on some ramps and take a really good look around. Check the CV joints, suspension bushings, even the wheels for cracked spokes.
A mystery, to be sure. Let us know what (if anything) you find.
Each rear whell bearing connects to the axel shaft via a spline shaft! If the splines are dry and rusty, they will make noises when you torque the drive train. That is an excellent source for the noise!
I have never had that issue (thats why it didnt first come to mind) but I have read of many who have. You can remove the nuts on each rear wheel bearing and spray in some white lithum grease.
