Default Battery Dying

I have replace a perfectly good Optima Red Top with a new one. If i let it sit past 3 weeks the battery goes down to a non cranking staus. Have 2 other vette owners with same problem . Was told by dealer "comon problem" with all the electronics on board. Make sense???? Not to me But................

my car I race only is the same way with a new battery then if it dies dead it never is the same. Better to get a battery tender unfortunately. It doesn't make two weeks

I've had two C5's with Delco batteries and neither have drained the battery from sitting. I know others have, but you may have something draining it. I saw a couple of posts saying the typical draw after being shutdown for a short while was around 20-25 ma. A friend has a Z06 that runs the battery so low in a few days that the interior lights won't come on if he forgets to unplug his radar detector. You can always go with a battery tender if you plan to let it sit for long periods without driving.

Uh, can you guys type a little bit slower; I'm having trouble understanding you...........

Seriously spealig, I believe you should be able to let your C5 sit for at least three weeks if the battery is fully charged, Short trips here and there are not going to keep the battery charged. You must drive at least 7 miles at a time. If this is not possible, give your battery a boost by using a Battery Tender Plus every now and then.
