I can't seem to get the dipstick back into the block/pan. Is there any trick to this? FWIW, I am trying to do this by myself, so I keep crawling under the car to see where the end of the dispstick is - it tough to see anything from the top.
Kind of hit a snag with this. Anyone have a tip? Would having a helper/freind make a huge difference in guiding the dipstick tube down? Do I need to bend it in a manner to make it go in smoother?
I normally just lay my shop light on the header then look down through the header. If you bend down and look just over the top of the battery you can see the hole, then just guide the tube in.
I have to admit this was the most "difficult" part of my header install! Took me about 30 mins worth of poking and prodding and trying to see the hole before it went in. Didn't help that I had been up all night with the rest of the work.
