Do the billet ***** just get hot from being parked, then cool down, or do they stay hot from heat being conducted up from the trans while running? Has anyone thought of putting a sock (or koozie) over the **** while it is parked to keep it cool? I really like the kirban, but living in Houston, heat is definitely an issue about half the year.
I've had mine for about 1 1/2 weeks... in Texas weather. Today, for example, it wasn't hot at all after work. A few days ago, it was hot after work. I have only noticed it getting hot because of sitting in the sun. It doesn't transfer any heat from the transmission that I've noticed.
I'm quite satisfied. And like you mentioned, if the heat ever starts bothering me during the summer, I can always cover it while I'm at work and it sits in the lot.
