Ok so Saturday I went to get my car dyno'd. The guy who dyno'd my car noticed what he said was a slight grinding and wobbling from the passenger side rear wheel. I havn't noticed this but it only really happens over 50 MPH and this car is soo noisy at speed I didn't hear it and as far as the wobbling I just thought it was rough roads. When the car was on the dyno it looked like the wheel was almost bouncing a tiny bit. Or maybe like the tire had a bubble or a flat spot but like I said they thought they heard grinding.
Anyways that being said can anyone suggest what this could be? Any idea if it is a warrenty item?
I didn't get to sit in the car while it was being dyno'd and I can't hear it above road noise under normal driving conditions but I am a little concerned. Thanks for any help.
IF,,,,,your car has an EXTENDED WARRENTY,,and the wheel bearing is bad,,,it IS/should be covered under warranty.
You can jack up the rear end of the car and see if the rear wheel bearing is bad. Grab the tire at the top and bottom and try to rock it in and out. Grab it at the 90 - 270 degree location and do the same. There should be little or NO movement from the bearing area. If your strong enough to move the spring,,,,,you da man!!!!!!
Changing the rear bearings is not all that difficult if you have tools and decient mechanical skills.
