what heads are best on a ls-6
the stock heads ported and polished or the L92 heads I have been hearing alot about them lately are these better and do they bolt right on??? and would they need ported also

The L92's are designed for a 4" bore they will not be good for your LS6. It would depend on how much you are looking to spend. Figure out that first and then do some searching.
Yes, you need to determine your goals first and then how you want the car to run and where you want to make power. There are several excellent head choices out there, but the cam will also play a major role in head selection. There are several books out by David Vizard, one on heads and one on the cams/valve train. Good starting point if you need to get up to speed to help make a better selection. Lots of money involved, so you want to choose wisely.

Go out and buy the the January 2007 GM High Tech Performance magazine. There is is very detailed article addressing aftermarket heads and a dyno test for each model.
