And sometimes during a messy divorce from the ex wife, I had to park with no lights on to monitor and not be noticed. It was not for driving without them since there really isn't any way to make that box on wheels look too cool.
If you have black covers on... or like me have black tinted signal lenses you don't want the DRLs shining through ruining the look. Thus, pull the #2 fuse and their gone

On my 2000, if you release the hand brake completely after the key is on, the drl's come on and stay on. If you release the handbrake before inserting the key and then pull the hand brake one notch and leave it there, they do not turn on when the key is inserted.
The DRL's make advance notice of the Corvette wave much easier to prepare for.
True but its then v embarrasing when you wave to the other GM cars that all have DRLs:o
I guess the original poster got the answer. My view is that DRLs are a waste of space. If the other driver needs DRLs to alert him/her of the presence of another vehicle be afraid; be very afraid If visibility is reduced you should be using dipped headlights

BTW Amber DRLs are illegal in Europe. The only amber lights are turn signals and that way there's no confusion. I did the relay/jumper mod to disable my DRLs but the A2 fuse is by far the easiest mod.
