Default Problem with sport seats lumbar

I just bought a 2000 convertible with the sport seats. When i hit any of the lumbar buttons it makes noise like its working but none of the lumbars are inflating at all and the side bolsters aren't moving either. Since it is making noise when i hit the buttons, i figure that the pump is working, but i need help finding where the rest of the problem is. Anyone with any experience with this?

I have the same issue too, but my lumbar seems to inflate, but then deflates immediately. I assume the air bladder has a leak, but I have not taken the seat apart yet. Being a newbie to Vette's, I dont want to mess anything up... But I guess it is already broken anyway!

The Vette Essentials Site has great instructions on stripping the seat down. Run down to step 20 & 21 and you'll see the pic of the bladders.

If the motors are running that's a good sign. Its probably a leak or a loose connector. When you get to it, the set up is very straight forward and the culprit should be obvious. I'd be tempted to replace the offending bladder if its leaking. the strip down is fairly time consuming so not something you want to do too often

Hope that helps.

Mine does the same thing. Took it apart to find the nipple on the airbag had broken off. Tried to 'glue' it back on, but never held longer than a day. My guess is you will find a busted nipple (ouch!) or maybe a leak. Or, maybe you'll be lucky and an air hose has pulled loose.

My problem is the seat bolsters are inflated and won't deflate on the driver side........the motor sounds like its running!!!

pull the seat and inspect the air lines, these seats have a ton of problems when you start reaching the 200# mark like myself
