Default Diff. to Tranny Connection - Seal???

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a DTE rear. I have been reading up on the swap and looking at my core that will go to DTE for the build. This will be installed in an MN6 car. What keeps the rear diff fluid from spilling into the area between the tranny and the differntial and then leaking out? The auto's have a seal.

On the output shaft of the trans there is a seal, and on the diff. side it's a large O-ring, make sure you have a new one on hand for the re-install.

I can't seem to find any mention of it in the service manual for the MN6, only the auto. Not sure why I am missing it, but the diff does appear to be an o-ring surface.

It's a stretch but I might be able to find the part number for the O-ring for you. Better yet, just call Fred Beans, that's where I purchased mine from. You def. don’t want to re-use the old one. Make sure you lube up the O-ring with seal grease so it won't be pinched upon re-installation (one of the sources of diff. to trans leakage).
