I recall an older thread that someone posted a link to a website that showed numerous qtr mile times, 0-60 times, etc, for hundreds of vehicles. It was also possible to sort the table so you could see what Vettes were/are faster or slower than.
You can sort the table by copying it from the web site and pasting it into excel. I had to break it into two pieces, top half and bottom half or excel hung up - probably because it ran out of memory. After it is in excel, your can sort it using the data/sort procedure.
if I'm reading all these charts correctly it looks like the C5 ,with some mods, should, with a skillful driver, be expected to beat a stock Mini Cooper.

I'll take my vette any day. I had a Mustang GT. At about 100-110mph, I did not feel safe, it was work keeping it on the road. I would bet that the Cobra is the same. In my C5, I feel comfortable at the higher speeds. Okay, some may have a half second on me, but I wouldn't trade the ride and security that I have now. For the money, it's the best out there.
Glad I'm not driving one of those Datsun B210 2-door Hatchback!
I think they are dreaming on the Oldsmobile Cutlass Diesel, the one I tested was 26 seconds 0-60. But if you disabled the EGR and flipped the breather it might be close to 18 seconds.
1968 Fiat 850 Idromatic 0-60 25.5 seconds and 23.30 for a 1/4 mile. I guess that means it can't get up to 60MPH in a quarter?
