So apparantly it pays to upgrade the oil pump at the same time that a timing chain is upgraded? Would seem to save on the labor
Plus I'd blueprint the puppy, clean it out thoroughly, shim the pressure relief valve with a .060 - .100 shim to kick the pressure up, port the inlet and outlet to improve flow if it's OEM pump. Or put in a high flow pump. It's hard to have too much oil flow unless you run 20W-50 in zero degree weather and get on it too hard before the oil warms up - then the oil filter makes sort of a "poink" noise and unloads the system at the gasket (don't ask).
