The panel is very thin plastic and it's eay to drill a series of holes with a 1" hole saw. Add grilles or screens, if you like, and you're ready to go.

Note that your underhood area will get a lot dustier.

Default Opening foglight panels

Is there a kit to open the foglight panels to allow cooler air into the engine compartment/intake?

Thanks,
Randy

Get the Z06 front grill screens, remove your cove inserts and install these

PS, go to Lowes or Home Depot and get some velcro and use that to install the screens so they can be removed later if you decide you want to go back

Check Mid America or Ecklers, I think they may still have replacement fog light surrounds with openings. You can also remove the complete fog light surrounds, and then either leave a large hole or discuise it witht he Z06 screens. Most guys use velcro to hold them in place. Other guys, like myself, drill large holes or cut an opening. I cut an opening in each that's about 1 1/2" tall and 6" wide following the contour of the surround. This is finished with 1/4" black plastic mesh turned at a 45 deg. angle, which lets in plenty of air for the intake. Use a catalog picture of the surrounds to see where the 3 screws are. They take a 10mm wrench and require some dexterity to remove as you can't see them. To get the surrounds out, it's easiest to remove 5 screws holding the lower plastic pannel in place. This job is more easily done in warm weather when the plastic parts are more flexible.
