Default aluminum lug nuts

has anyone had any problems with these?....they seem to be very popular for import application, but not domestic....Is it a strength issue?

Thanks for your input; hardened aluminum or hardened steel?...they have forged aluminum lugs...i think they called it duraluminum. The lugs specifically are made by gorilla and sold by thunder racing. Gorilla says its for race applications...Has anyone had these aluminum lugs split or break or strip? On my brothers old car he had forged aluminum spoon rims and let me tell you those rims were strong as hell...i bent one hitting a cement block on the highway...when i went to get it fixed two rim repair shops told me the material was way to strong to be repaired...the rim was also so light we could play catch with it.....

Aluminum lug nuts would scare me. There were two cases of stripped steel lugs at CMP a couple of weeks ago.
