Default Drag radial help...

Which ones should i get and how wide? I was considering the BFG's in 315/35/18(for my stock Z wheels 18 x10.5) What do u guys think? Im making 396 at the wheels..will I need to install a hardened output shaft?

I ran 295's x 18 BFG DR when I had 500 rwhp and had 1.5x 60' times with them. Harden shafts & a DTE Brace for hard launches
315's may give you to much traction ?

so you think its better to go with a narrower tire..so i get some spinning rather than bogging?....Is there a need to change both output shafts?...I have read that you only have to change the left side.

The left side is the cheaper one, and the one that breaks quicker
(as per what I read) Since the rear needs to be pulled for the shaft change the DTE brace should be installed at the same time. And yes I feel alittle spinning is alot better than a dead hook and breaking parts

Default 315s won't hold

I put Pilot Sport 315s on my 98 A4. I am running right at 500rwhp. They really don't hold any better off the line. They do help with punching the car at 50mph. With the OEMs, the car would start to fishtail at 50 if I punched it hard, now it just jumps!!!

BFG's 315 35 18, hooks a little too well in my case......I think i need more horsepower now. Just bogs off the line. You should be fine with your rwhp..

Have used both M/T's and Kumho"s drag radials and they are both very good.
