Any ideas would be great help!! Here is the story, Week ago today I unhooked the battery and pulled the car apart to install a new set of heads and cam. Long story short got it all back together today. Hooked battery up and now my key fobs dont work and the car is not getting any spark! I know this because I pulled a spark plug and its not getting any spark when touching the head. I have checked every plug and they are all connected. PLEASE HELP oh forgot to add the car is a 1999 frc
Heeeeeeeee Heeeeeeeeeeeee! I bet you a COLD ONE that you forgot to re-connect the coil grounds on the drivers cylinder head!! There are TWO black/white stripe wires that that are stuck together like lamp cord and they terminate into one eyelet.
Let me know how you make out!!!
The only reason that Im laughing is, it's a very common mistake and the symptoms are just as you describe on the NO START! It has nothing to do with the FOB's Try pressing and holding the LOCK and UN Lock buttons at the same time until you hear the horn toot. That should take care of that.
thanks for the help! got the key fobs to work! still won't start. pretty sure I connected the ground straps but wil double check again tomorrow! if anyone else has any ideas let me know ! thanks
