Anyone have an idea on what the "average" clutch life is on stock C5 that has not been taken to the track? (i.e. how many miles b4 a clutch rebuild on a stock C5)

I'd say 25k - 80k miles because I think it varies depending on type of traffic (stop and go vs highway) and personal driving style and habits.
Bill, sounds like you are not in the 100000 category
Welllllllll,,,,,maybe 999,999 miles!!
What are you saying Steve!!! I dont think 75 foot hole shots don't put much wear on the clutch! The tires catch hell but,,,,I treat my clutch with kid gloves!! It either full ON or full OFF! Just like the accelerator pedal!
I'm still on my original clutch. Car was stock for the first 30 something thousand miles, then bolt-ons for another 20 something thousand. I recently did heads & cam with just over 60k on the clock. It seems to be holding up fine for now, but I won't be surprised if I have to put a better clutch in it soon, because the stockers don't seem to hold up too long with this much power. I drive the car pretty conservatively on the street...mostly stop-and-go city driving; not abusive, but I do get on it a bit. I also race at the local drag strip, and have been using drag radials for the past year. I have no doubt that a "stockish" car could go 100k+ (unless you really beat the crap out of it).
