From the really long and incredibly informative post with about every known common problem for C5's I saw BELT SQUEAK!!!
I'm not the only one!!!
So are the Gatorback belts from AutoZone the best option?
I remember years back when I was getting out of my 3000GT's that there was a new Kevlar reinforced timing belt that was making waves for reliability. But I guess this is all just accessory stuff, no more timing BELT thank god!! Right??? >,<
There's only 2 belts right? Main one and then the power steering & alternator one? Or am I missing some?
Is it necessary to replace all the tensioners at the same time? Should I get GM tensioners or aftermarket ones?
Thanks for the help all, really enjoying these forums
Just replaced both belts (86k miles) with gatorbacks. The ac belt (small one) was actually still decent but the serpentine was way past due. Did both anyway, now good to go. No squeaks!

Gatorback part numbers? Are they the same for an automatic or a 6 speed? (I have a 6 speed) Thanks in advance for the help!
