Thanks For The Information But The Two Members Who Replied To Me Did Give, For Me, The Final Answer. Please Check My Original Thread Dated 12-25-06. Based On My Needs They Answered Correctly For My Circumstances. I Can See By Your Profile That You Are Far Far Above My Level Of Knowledge Or Skill. By "shredding The Tires" I Was Just Using An Expression And Not Actually Doing Damage To The Tires. Thank You Again For The Reply. All I Want To Do Is Humiliate Mustang Owners On The Street. Is That Too Much To Ask? Regards And Happy New Year

Actually yes, it is too much to ask. Street racing is ILLEGAL and kills innocent people. Happy New Year.

Your welcome. There are a few books out there on racing tires.

and The best way to humiliate ( or may not be the best way) but I what I do is, just agree with what ever the other car owner says. No matter what it is, how degradding of myself or my car. ( Personnaly I am comfortable with my abilties, masculinity and dont give a rats arz what an other guy ( car owner says). That way it does not give the other guy any place to go or say.

Then I say, " Oh by the way. YOU are going to be at such and such track on X date? ARN'T YOU?" that way we can have some real fun" . It is amazing how they DONT show up.

You win either way with out even sitting in the car.

Street racing is dangorours. Please dont do it. and it is not condoned on this forum.

On the track, well that is a differnt.

Honestly a quick burst on the street means nothing to me anymore. I use to think yeah I was big chit that I could pull on most cars on the street, but after doing multiple HPDEs I come to find that I was fast in the straights, but throw a turn in there and I was in deep trobule.

After 20 or so track days I now feel more comfortable with my car coming around turns at high speed. My friend who took a ride with me at WGI stated

"I never reached for anything because I never felt that you weren't 100% in control of the car, but you scared the chit out of me".

That was a great compliment and it showed him how far the vettes can go. BTW I was only doing 8/10 because he was in the car.

Bob give him 11/10ths next time. Running a Vette on the street is a waste once you get addicted to the track. Plenty of Mustangs and others to battle at the track, Real Battles! No police and no innocent people. AND you don't lose your license or have huge insurance premiums.

You running on the street and some jerk pulls out or leaps in front of you. Not only is your car wrecked your life is wrecked and forever changed.

Your observations on street racing has been duly noted. But your both are presuming I spoke of high speed street racing which I did not. Thank you both so much for pointing out that street racing is illegal. Wow, what a bolt out of the blue...so to speak. Forgive me for shocking your tender sensibilities. Thank you both for pointing out the moral implications of tromping down on the gas pedal. Apparently, acknowledging the faults of another Corvette owner is the highest duty imposed upon you by your love of truth. The politically correct feminization of America continues.
