Illinois C5's
Just wanted to get an idea of how many of the forum members are in the Chicagoland area. I see many Vettes by where my parents live, but I never see ones that make you smile (i.e. modded out and driven hard). :cool: :sleep:
I bought a 01 vert out of college this past May, so I haven't had the monetary "ability" to mod it up good. A good portion of my paycheck goes to the payments already. :( So to make up for it, everytime I drive 94 or LSD I hope to see cars like TomC5's 550rwhp. :smash:

There are quite a few chicago C5 owners on this forum. Go into the Great Lakes Section of the forum and you will see many of them. They have quite a few cool get-togethers, cruises and dyno days as well. I've even made it to a few of their get-togethers.

Yep, definitely check out the Great Lakes section of the forum; we normally try to get groups together every month or two. Last cruise got rained out, though (of course)!

where do you guys usually get together at? would be nice to get a look at some of your cars. and bty, a funny story. today i was driving in evanston with my cousin and as i drove by three asian college kids, i heard them say "it's a chinese guy", referring to me as if they couldn't believe a chinese guy could drive a true american sports car. :crazy: well, i'm pretty much a kid too (21 grad! :cheers: )

Yup, I trade S&P futures. Do not go to the pit as much, loving the Globex electronic trading platform the Chicago Mercantile Exchange has. I live in Evanston and trade primarily from my place. :D :D It is a fairly easy commute from my bed to my bank of 20" monitors!! ehhahaha :D :lol: :lol: We usually get together about once a month. We got together today at Busse Woods (great day for it). I try and go to GLD during the week and sometimes Byron on sat. We also go to woodfield.
O hyeah if you want to stop by Evanston let me know. I drive my car ALL over the place, cannot get enough. I am sure OACE can escape from his working cell and ongoing never ending life as a student to meet up. I go up to Northbrook court on wednesdays for matinees ahhahah ...a trading break.... :U

One of my favorite early Sunday morning drives is to cruise into the city and make a swing through the Planetarium for a great skyline view and then up LSD to the Gold Coast (always got to watch for that cop that sits just north of the curve). I normally do a 180 and then head south to pickup Michigan Ave. and then back out of town. On a Bears game day it is always fun to see the guys setting up the grills for the tailgate parties. Maybe we will see each other on one of the trips
