Default will LS2 lifter trays work on LS1?

I am thinking about ordering a new set. Didn't know if they will work or not

Hmm, I had a guy a few min ago say that they are an upgrade for the ls1.. He said they will fit perfect

I am 100000% positive they will not work. Their different.

*EDIT* I read it wrong..

NO...You cant put LS1 trays into an LS2
YES...You can put LS2 trays in an LS1

Sorry, I didnt read the thread correctly. I thought you were putting the LS1 lifter trays in a LS2. Not the other way around.

I didn't see any design changes in them that made them worth the switch, I ordered new LS1 trays when I got mine. By the way, the unfortunately come in packages of "five". Even though the motor only needs four. What a stupid packaging scheme.

If you do change them, check the numbers on the bottom of the trays. Some of the ones that are marked "10" had some issues. I found one in my motor.

does GM have a TSB on this issue? good information

Not that I am aware of, there were a couple of guys who found this due to the car eating lifters. Turns out the lifters were slightly rotated relative to the cam.
