I get a lot of people that send IM for help with a problem or feedback on a product that I have installed. After writing a lengthy response I will wait, and wait, and wait some more - never getting a response. Finally I will send a "did you get my response" message, they always say yes. Why is it so hard to send a simple thanks for the help message? Ok, I am done complaining now...
Happens all the time. I make it a point to always thank people for any help and will acknowledge them publicly whenever possible. I get pm's for help sometimes on a mod or product I may have installed and I go above and beyond, sending people all the info and links and then some. Once I do, these people seem to fall off the face of the earth. Never so much as a thank you. You know who you are.
