that lists the PC 925 MJT as a good dailey driver battery at 28 lbs and they make an aluminum side mount for it that should fit in the C5's battery tray. Looks like I'm headed down this road. At least I haven't heard anything negative yet.
I love it for 5 VERY good reasons:
1. It is a gel-type battery so I don't have to worry about it leaking and damaging my car.
2. It is 20 lbs. lighter then stock.
3. It is about 1/3 the size of the stock battery.
4. It starts my car, runs my headlights, plays my music, and everything else just like a stock battery. The great thing, is my car is NOT a daily driver. I probably drive my car once a week on average, but I have even left it for 2 full weeks and when I went to start it, perfect, NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. It starts in the dead of winter (single digits) just as well as the dead of summer (100F)
5. ATI also sells a perfectly functioning and very cool looking mounting bracket. The only reason the mounting bracket is needed is becauses the damn thing is so small. It actually looks like a motorcycle battery.
I know that ATI's website lists this battery as a "racing/starter battery" but my experience for the past 1.5 years has been that it's a OEM replacement capable of doing everything the OEM battery could do, except leak LOL.
If you have any questions at all, I have talked to Bruce Essig at Odyssey Batteries (660) 429-7506 several times and I have always been VERY impressed. Bruce knows the ins-and-outs of not just odyssey batteries but the entire industry and a cars electrical system.
I hope this helps.
