High Air Temp

I do still have the spoiler on the front and the hood seal so I dont think Im missing anything really.
Unless you have a hole cut in your radiator shroud, none of the cool air from the air dam is going to make it to your Blackwing. The hood seal does an excellent job of keeping dirt and water off the Blackwing, but it also prevents air from entering the area occupied by the Blackwing, leaving the overly hot air from the engine compartment as your source of intake air. The solution that I made use of was to replace the fog light surrounds, which are solid, with a set from one of the vendors (can't remember exactly who right now, maybe West Coast Corvettes) that have a diamond pattern grill area to allow cold air to enter the air filter area from under the front bumper. Made a huge difference - even sitting in traffic idling, my air intake temps almost never get higher than 125 degrees, and once moving return to ambient temperature within seconds.
Some guys just take the existing fog light surrounds and drill or burn a series of holes through the plastic to create the same effect. I chose my method because I am kind of **** about appearances and the diamond grill pattern looks much better than a bunch of holes burned/drilled through the plastic. If I remember correctly, the new fog light surrounds cost me around 70 or 80 dollars.
Honk her and never look back.Just imagine, 1% horsepower lost for every 10 degrees higher intake air. 75 degrees or 160? do the math.
