Default climate control irratic

I have searched and have come up empty.
My outside air temperature probe is broken. It reads 127 f. Way off!!
I disconnected it and checked the plug for corrosion and re attached it with no change.
The Climate control on automatic blows hot at 86 degrees or above only. After a while it blows cool. Could it be because the probe is broken?
I have just bought the car and do not have a repair manual yet. Any suggestions?

The one reason why you get warm air instead of constant cool air incoming is the sensor inside the car.

Here is a link to help you out. http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...ad.php?t=69755

The broken temp probe will definetely mess up the climate control. I know, I had one go bad on me. It is inexpensive and very easy to replace, it just plugs in.

Thanks for your input.
For about ten bucks that would be a cheap fix.
