Default Which Header Gaskets?

About to put headers on my car and was wondering which gaskets to use. I am talking about the ones between the head and the header. Anyone have any suggestions as to what is best here. I have heard the factory GM Camaro ones work well, but would like to hear other opinions.

The Mechanic That installed my headers {mostly stock 1999 A4} recommended Percy's "Dead Soft"Aluminum header gaskets. 1 year later, no leaks. Hope we have as good a sucess when he installs my Heads and Cam next month. That's what I'mTalkin' About! Hope this helps.

I think most are going with the metal OEM gaskets. That's what I used with my AR headers. GM Part # 12558573.

the stock gaskets from 97-00 with the round ports from GM

the 01-04 are oval, not the best for LT flanges

LG motorsports instructions say to use 2000 camaro oem gaskets, they are round port that match the header flange.

And probably the same GM gasket part number as the C5 too.

Actually the C5 gaskets are different. They are kinda squarish oval shaped. The Camaro is round like the header flange.

Actually, the 98-02 Camaro gaskets do carry the same part number as the 97-00 C5s. 12600530 which, as Steve@CTCorvette said, superceded the 12558573s (which was the old number for both the earlier C5s and the Camaros)
