my c5 cuts off can u help
frequently when i start my car after putting my car in drive it cuts off. it does this for about three times and then continues to run. i have a club member that has the same problem. can anyone tell me whats wrong

Yes I can!!! Your having a problem with the VATS system. The PCM and BCM use a security system to help keep your car out of the hands of theivs. The resistor pellet in your key must match the resistance in the BCM. When you expierence this issue, have you seen a message in the DIC that says "Pull Key Wait 10 sec" ?? If so, that means the resistor pelet is not being read corrrectly. If you have a spare key, try that one. You can also clean the pellet conatcts with alcohol.
If the BCM doesnt see the correct resistance, it will allow the car to start but once you put it into gear and attempt to move it, the engine will die.
