PCV Routing Question
But since it is able to spit out oil I do want to install one on the valve cover.. my only problem is the air coming into the system is unmetered by the mass air flow sensor.. granted it this only under vac conditions such as at idle or decel ect.. that is really makes a difference.. but i would like to see things routed correctly..
So we are either going to install the catch can and route it to the air intake duct somehow.. by installing a fitting or install it without a filter as it has one built in maybe.. not sure..
There is no factory setup for a LS6 with a LS2 intake..
I just wonder what this shop has been doing are they all being done like this without a hose or anything at the valve cover... and this is the only one as it's a first with an accusump?
Not sure..
Reason I have this car is the shop is out of state...

This is what I plan on doing....I purchased the LS2 clean air tube from GM and plan on making an aluminum fitting to go in the air bridge or coupler between the TB and MAF so I'm getting metered air. Callaway has a fitting, vettenuts has one for his honker, that should work with the factory LS2 clean air tube.
When the customer first called them (the tuner that did the work) they said.. there should be a catch can there if you are tracking the car.. well what did you think he was doing with it with coil overs T1's big radiator accusump ect.. ??? So anyway my solution for now....
After talking with the other shop.. And what i was already thinking...
I installed a catch can from the valve cover and left the other port open to atmosphere, as there is a filter built into this catch can.. i want to see how much oil he is pushing out the vent/fresh air fitting at the passanger side head.. if it's minimal per each track session then, I would like to route the catch can to the air intake between the maf and tb...
I also want to install another catch can between the PCV and vacum port as well..

I wouldn't attach the catch can to the intake in front of the MAF, any vapors would likely contaminate the wires. Also, not sure if you are asking if you can connect the PCV port to the valve cover. Got a diagram?
Here is the thread showing the parts I got:

Just went out and shot a photo of the aluminum part installed. I used some SMC bonding agent to set it in place and smooth it out in the coupler. It has a rubber cap on it since the original TB is still on the car until next week.
