I got the 4.10s when they first came out but it leaks so my car smells like gear oil all the time. Was thinking of having ADS in Phoenix handle it but they double billed me on my dyno tune and the first call was "we would have noticed that, prove it" kind of thing. Its tragic because they seemed so great when they had my car last time. Hopefully they will credit back my account and I can have them redo the install and seals (they did not do the original install and the guy that did do the original install wants more money despite it leaking from day one).

As for the gears themselves? Great, just great. Not just off the line but even highway! 5th and 6th dont bog done anymore in cruise at higher speeds climbing hills so no more downshifting when I am too lazy.

Once I get my car all fixed I am sure I will enjoy it! Crossing my fingers with ADS. They seem like a great company so I expect they will resolve this matter. I am guessing my info was keyed in (was over the phone) then someone processed it without knowing it was already paid.

Of course thats just a guess.

I love my 4.10's! Best mod I've done. The only drawback is the whine. It's not bad, but every gear change I've ever had done has had the same type wine, from whole chunk from Cartek on my current C5, to Whole chunk from Mid-America on my C4s. None where "stock quiet" like they claimed.

In town milage actually increased, highway lost a couple.

My Cartek 4.10s are "stock quiet". All I did was break them in like they told me and I've had no problems.

My ECS 4.10s are quiet too. Followed the break in procedure and no issues!

I'm glad yours are quiet. I was not going to try another set with my next vette, but hearing others not having issues encourages me.

My C4 and my C5 were both driven as instructed for break-in. C4 for 500 miles, C5 3 gentle heat cycles with long cool-downs inbetween (I waited a day inbetween). I know the 3 heat cycles doesn't sound right, but I got it straight from Cartek myself when the garage told me and I didn't believe them either.
