They look like chrome y2k's to me. Only way to tell if they are oem or not is to take one off and look for the GM stamp on the back of the wheel. They are most likely repro's though.
I'm looking to put black wheels on in place of these chromies. Have a chance to use some stock C5 magnesium wheels and maybe get them black powder coated.
They are either actual GM Y2K's or repros. Probably the real thing since I doubt anybody would upgrade their rims and stock with another version of a stock rim. I think the widths are 17X8.5 and 18X9.5?
Hey to each their own. If it were me I would keep the chrome thins spoke wheels that you have. Looks good. Buy some custom wheels (CCW's) for some snap. Black wheels + black car = no bling. MHO.
I was thinking about having those Mag wheels smooth sanded and black powder coated and use my existing, new, 245 x 45 ZR17 and 275 x 40 ZR 18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S RF's. Wouldn't the mag wheels being 1/2" narrower put the squeeze on these tires?
