Default Vacum Line,Temp Sensor ?????

My 2K C5 blows ice cold on the drivers side and very hot on the passenger side with the ac on. Tried resetting with the passenger side set in the middle 12:00....no change. is this a vacum line, temp sensor or controller issue???? can someone point me in the right direction...don't know where to begin. thanx

I've seen a few dealing with climate control, but nothing quite like this..I just bougt it in Dec. and right off the bat, my oil pressure was 80 psi, so i started looking on the internet and found this site. it answered my question about the oil pressure without having to ask..what a souce of information...someone could compile a teck manual from all this exsperience.

How did you check the DTC's?? Here is the CORRECT WAY!

This is the absolute best C5 Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) web site!!!

http://www.corvettedoctor.com/Code_Main.html
http://www.corvettedoctor.com/index.html

Go to “technical data base” and then to “Corvette ECM Computer Codes”. Then select your year car. Read the instructions and then scroll down to the "READ MORE" window to view the code definitions.\

Here is another very good site:

http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_cod...d-ii-codes.php

Make sure to include the H or C suffix!!

Write down and post your DTC’s Then clear them ALL!

Sound effects are cool too! 

It most likely NOT a vacuum problem as vacuum ONLY controls the vent door functions and NOT temperature!

It just as easy to check for DTC's. if you have any, write them dowm and post them.., Then CLEAR THEM! After you clear them, check for proper operation and see if the code comes back.

The temperatue is controlled by controller motors:

Passengers side motor is the small flat module:

Drivers side:

Observe the round openings in the passengers and drivers side while you try to adjust the drivers side temp from 60 deg to 90 deg. It should rotate just about 100 deg.

Rresetting the HVAC controller by disconnecting the battery or the HVAC fuses usually works.

Thanks for the Tips Guys. I'm offshore in the GoM and won't get a chance to apply the diagnostic info for a couple weeks, but feel I got a handle on this now. I had no idea of the self-diagnostic capabilities of the C5. My old C4 seems antiquated in comparison. You guys are Great..
