The moisture is in the air flowing thru the throtle body.

Seems to me that to freeze it, it would take driving on cruise control on a completely flat surface where the throttle position doesn't have to change for hours and at 0 degrees
I think this is a non issue unless you're in a place like michigan or alaska

I was toying with the idea of adding a garden hose hook-up to the by-pass "tube" somehow to aid in flushing the block... Anyone have any thoughts on whether or not that would work?

Not necessarily due to the change in air pressure through the throttle body. It will happen quicker in more humid environments (like where I live )

I was wondering how many posts I would have to read here before someone snapped to this.

and its been around 36 here lately and very freakin humid. when the sun goes down ( most of the day ) it has been lingering right around freezing. add a cold air intake and that thing could look quickly like the frosty mug i keep in the fridge chilling

Actually this is the thread you were predicting... Sorry to see this happen to him: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...e+body+By+Pass

LONESTAR -
Thanks for catching that one and clarifying it. Like I said, if I do it, I want to do it right, that is why I asked questions before touching my car.

I'm still undecided though. If there isn't much benefit, why change the way GM designed the car.
